Review

We have previously stayed in Signature rooms in the new block at Thoresby but were offered a very good deal to upgrade to an historic suite, which we accepted. We were allocated Room 721, which overlooks the putting green. The room had recently been refurbished to a good standard and had a four poster bed. It was a very spacious and comfortable room with a sofa, fireplace and a large bathroom. The room also has an allocated space in the car park.
There was a good choice of food in the Sherwood restaurant which was tasty and well presented at breakfast and at dinner. We had two waitresses during our stay - both were very friendly and efficient.
Saturday night's entertainment was the Stayin Alive Saturday Night Fever Show, which we found very disappointing. The first half consisted of very old, slow tempo Bee Gees songs, which were not well performed. The second half improved with livelier songs associated with the film.
The entertainment provided by the resident team more than made up for our disappointment. On Sunday we were treated to their 'Majestic Voices' show which was a tribute to the music of Queen. This was an excellent, energetic performance which received a standing ovation from the audience. The team also put on excellent early evening and late night cabaret shows - we especially enjoyed Sean and Aaron.
Thank you to the Thoresby Hall team for an excellent stay.

My goodness, what a beautiful place to visit. The building is so impressive, the rooms are regal and the grounds awe inspiring.
Anyone wanting a pampered break away should visit here.
The food is fantastic and lots of choices.
Staff so very helpful, especially the garden staff.
Lincoln cathedral is worth a visit, it's beautiful.
Will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The entertainment team were excellent and worked very hard. Good service in the restaurant and a wide choice of well cooked food. Singing Christmas carols in the beautiful Great Hall one of iour highlights. So good we have booked for next year!.
