This was our third and best Warners experience yet. A glorious setting and magnificent manor house Thoresby Hall can't fail to lift the spirit.
The moment you enter the gates your Warners experience begins when you're given your room key at the Gatehouse! No queing at reception just head to your room. In our case this was the Pierrepont Suite, room 710 on the landing of the great staircase. Prepare to feel like you're the Lord of the Manor a huge bedroom with 4 poster bed and seating area with two sofas and large TV. The bathroom is larger than most hotel rooms with Jack and Jill sinks bath and separate shower and large screen TV. Of course being a suite you get extras such as a bottle of wine, nibbles and water too. The King bed was very comfortable the room has shutters as well as curtains and these are great for keeping in the heat on a cold December evening.
We dined in the Blue Grill, a subsidy of £20 but we'll worth it the quality of food and service is 5 star. Thanks go to Lee and the team for looking after Us! The stacks are great and the desert sharer is to die for! The regular restaurant was good too with the food on the carvery being refreshed regularly and the ordered food very good and delivered quickly. Thanks go to our waiter Johnathon.
We used the pool and the spa both of which are of a good standard, well maintained and clean.
The Warners entertainment was great they work very hard and getting food and drink served in the bars was fast and friendly. The prices are good too and once you've visited for more than a few days you can save up to 15% with the Warners loyalty card.
Keeping a huge Grade I listed building and grounds up to scratch must cost a fortune but they do a great job, OK you'll see other Trip Advisor reports moaning about a bit of missing wall paper but come on this hotel is the size of Buckingham palace and look at the money they (We!) are having to spend on that! It's absolutely beautiful, grand and cared for by all the staff.
Recently visited this wonderful old hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is great and entertainment was very, very good. The great hall in the old house is lovely and the spa and leisure facilities are second to none.
