Another visit to Thorsby hall, this time for the rock anthems weekend.
As usual we had a historic suite (721), the room was very large, clean and comfortable with a very large bathroom and plenty of storage space.
Eating in the restaurant was quite good though service was a bit slow and the poached eggs were cold by the time we got them.
The shows in the Pavilion Theatre were very good. On Friday night we had 'A Dead Ringer for Meatloaf', as a meatloaf fan I really enjoyed this show. on Saturaday it was the turn of 'She Will Rock You' a soft rock show which was also very good. On sunday it was the turn of 'The Boss UK, a Bruce Springstein tribute which was also enjoyable if a little lud on occasions ( we were sitting near the front quite close to the speakers).
before each of the guest shows the resident team put on their own shows with some very good singing.
All in all another very enjoyable weekend at Thoresby
